I am a direct descendant of John Bell, who was killed by this witch. when I was 20 or so, I was on a subway in London with a wacky friend of mine -a real southern belle-when she got to talking with another southerner,Jeff Hockenheimer,,the author of this book.He has the most pronounced southern accent I had ever heard. Out of the blue I chimed in to their conversation"Have you ever heard about the Bell Witch?" He astonished me by declaring that not only did he know about the Bell Witch he had written a book about it!! Talk about a spooky coincidence! They say that to this day weird spooky things happen to the bell family, and this is an example. You see, they were not talking about anything to do with the Bell Witch, and it was a topic I rarely thought about, so what prompted me to ask that is beyond me-literally. He sent copies of his book to my family which we all enjoyed, and I reordered it recently--it is a good read.Product details
